The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina received the international WE Finance Code Data Excellence Award on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognizing progress in collecting, improving and using financial data on women entrepreneurs. The work supports efforts to understand and improve access to finance for women owned and women led micro, small and medium sized enterprises. The central bank leads the initiative nationally with support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Its work includes coordinating participating institutions and developing the WE Finance Code Dashboard, the country’s first interactive platform for analyzing lending and deposit data by business size and owners’ gender. Seventeen institutions have signed letters of intent to participate, including 11 that have also signed letters of commitment.

Its work includes a new dashboard analyzing lending and deposit activity by owners’ gender and coordination of a national partnership involving 17 institutions.
