Bolivia's Ministry of Finance reported that the Financial System Supervisory Authority (ASFI) participated for the first time in the Credicorp Financial Group's supervisory college alongside regulators from Chile, Peru, Colombia, Panama and the United States. The forum enabled supervisors to exchange information, methods and tools for overseeing cross-border financial groups and identifying risks to financial stability and Bolivian depositors. Participants examined the supervision of Credicorp across different jurisdictions and received information from the group's senior executives on its short and medium-term regional strategy. The discussions allowed regulators to refine their supervisory approaches and gave ASFI access to supervisory practices and mechanisms used elsewhere in the region and the United States.
