Monaco's Ministry of Finance and Economy outlined measures specified by Sovereign Ordinance to improve access to borrower insurance and bank credit for people with an elevated health risk. The framework introduces a right to be forgotten for certain former cancer and hepatitis C patients, establishes regulated insurance terms for some applicants who do not qualify for that right, and creates a complaints and mediation commission. Eligible applicants do not have to disclose the relevant medical history when seeking borrower insurance if their treatment protocol ended more than five years earlier, they have had no relapse and they are under age 71. The Commission for the Right to Be Forgotten and Mediation will examine individual complaints, oversee application of the law and support prompt, amicable resolutions, including by making recommendations to the parties.
