The Bank of Albania published remarks by Governor Gent Sejko at the launch of the national “Double Your Enterprise” program, highlighting extended financing terms and a higher maximum financing amount for small and medium-sized enterprises. The initiative continues efforts to improve business access to bank credit by combining low interest rates with a sovereign guarantee covering up to 70% of collateral.
Sejko urged banks to implement the program proactively and businesses to use the financing for investment and expansion. He said the initiative could increase lending, diversify banks’ portfolios and strengthen entrepreneurship, while emphasizing cooperation among the government, banking sector and businesses.
